The helmet's in-mold construction a tough polycarbonate outer shell fused to an EPS (expanded polystyrene) liner reinforces both materials, allowing for larger vents and less material and resulting in a light, cool helmet. Lightweight foam vent plugs snap in for a tight seal against chill. Removable, injection-molded earflaps lock directly into the liner, which can be removed for washing.
